Mina Ibrahim, RPT
Mina is a passionate Physiotherapist who began on our team in December 2016. Mina began his education in rehab at York University in 2007 where he received his Bachelor of Science with specialized honors in Health Science and Kinesiology. He then worked for a couple of years as a kinesiologist and clinic director.
In 2013, Mina decided to further his education by enrolling at D’youville College where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During this venture down south Mina traveled to several cities in America for varying internships. These internships allowed Mina to be exposed and trained in a variety of settings with a wide spectrum of patients.
Mina has experience with: cardiovascular rehab, neurological rehab, vestibular rehab, urgent care, work hardening, and musculoskeletal rehab.
When not working vigorously in the clinic Mina enjoys playing basketball and reading up on the most up to date evidence based practices.
Dr. Rob, ND
Since graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2002, Dr Rob ND has been a proud member of the Naturopathic community, eager to introduce the benefits of natural medicines in various clinical settings. Dr Rob is especially excited to join the Life Clinic-Young Street Physiotherapy team. With a clinical focus in weight management, rehabilitation, pain management, and cosmetic acupuncture, the fit at the clinic was obvious.
In addition to his clinical career, Dr Rob has built his experience on previous work as a Naturopathic consultant for a nation-wide Employee Assistance Provider; He has also taught various Continuing Education courses at CCNM; And has had various articles on natural healthcare, as well as the natural healthcare industry, published in magazines such as VIVA and Integrated Healthcare Retailer. Dr Rob is also the developer of the HealthyStartOnline.info website, devoted to compiling some of the best and reputable websites on the web relating to general health, stress and nutrition.
Rohit began his journey into fitness and rehabilitation after incurring numerous injuries himself while playing basketball as a youth. This led him to attain his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. He then worked for some time as a personal trainer with Goodlife Fitness and LA fitness helping people achieve their personal fitness goals.
In 2013, Rohit wanted to expand his knowledge so he attended D’Youville College to receive his Doctor of Physical therapy degree in 2016. Learning has never stopped for Rohit as he regularly expands his skills as a therapist with continuing education. He has taken courses on Mulligan concepts, KT taping, cupping, acupuncture, dry needling, spinal manipulation and selective functional movement assessment. Rohit uses a unique treatment method with his diverse background to help a wide array of patients.
In his free time Rohit loves playing basketball, working out and reading anything non-fiction!
Registered Massage Therapist
Vitalie is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He graduated from Centennial College’s Massage Therapy Program and has gained valuable experience working in both clinical settings, as well as many community outreach programs. These include: Sports Training and Fitness Center, Rosalie Hall and North York General Hospital.
Vitalie is trained in the treatment of many musculoskeletal conditions, Neuromuscular Integrative Structural Alignment, postural alignment treatments involving deep tissue and fascial release techniques. In addition, he is thoroughly trained in Craniosacral therapy, which is a set of techniques that utilize light touch to induce states of relaxation and reduce pain.
Active Therapy Coach
Daniel is extremely passionate about the health and fitness field. He brings this enthusiasm to helping others attain their health related goals. Daniel graduated with a Specialized Honours Degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports and Event Marketing from George Brown College. He is a certified Kinesiologist and personal trainer who has been in the health and fitness field since 2000.
Throughout his career, Daniel has been the director and lead instructor of the National Personal Training Institute of Toronto, managed an in-home personal training company, worked in fitness clubs, studios, and clinics. His clients have ranged in age from 12 to 86 and in exercise experience from novice to elite athlete.
Daniel believes that there is no one-size-fits-all fitness program. Any exercise program should be tailored to the goals, needs, and wants of the individual.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoys baseball, basketball, and spending time with his family.
Active Therapy Coach
Magda has a degree in Business and Marketing in Poland. She completed her Honors Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology & Health Science at York University. Her desire to utilize the theoretical and practical methodologies acquired during her studies brought her to Yonge Street Physiotherapy. She strives to improve physical health so that it has a lasting impact on an individual’s overall wellness.
Magda specializes in active physical rehabilitation and works closely with clients to help them reach their full potential. When not providing rehabilitation services to her clients, Magda enjoys hiking, swimming and playing variety of team sports.
Clinic Manager in Training and Clinic Coordinator
Patricia Fuller completed her Diploma in Business Management at Guelph Humber College. She has over 5 years’ experience as store manager and was also a District trainer.
Patricia has a passion for customer service ensuring that all clients are taken care of and meeting their expectations.
Patricia enjoys spending time with her family. She also volunteers in her spare time at the local women’s shelter.
Cassandra has completed her diploma in esthetics and spa management from Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Prior to becoming a member of the Thornhill Physiotherapy team, Cassandra has worked as a clinic coordinator for numerous health clinics across the GTA. She has experience working with patients in an administrative environment, and aims to have each patient leaving happy and always aims to have their goals and needs met.
The most rewarding part of her job is being able to witness individuals before her reach their goals of any kind that they once thought were impossible to be met. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, writing, and is always up for any type of adventure!
Jun has completed his diploma in Occupational therapist assistant and Physiotherapist assistant program from Humber College in 2017. He has taken aqua therapy course and splint courses. He has worked at Kennedy long term care hospital as PTA. He came from South Korea to study physiotherapy and he wants to be a physiotherapist in a few years. Jun has interest to expand his knowledge and skills to give more efficient treatment to patient. He enjoys working in a team and he likes talking with people. The most enjoyable part is watching the improvement of patients from their injuries.
During his spare time, Jun likes to play swimming, soccer and extreme sports such as snowboarding and biking. He has played competitive soccer in South Korea during his adolescent.
